Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data SILT Nutrition collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to siltnutrition.com, our WhatsApp line, and orders you place with us. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force.

Who we are

Silt Foods and Beverages Private Limited (CIN U11040WB2026PTC287768), 122, Flat 3A, Block A, Ruby Park East, Haltu, Kolkata, West Bengal 700078, India. We decide how and why your data is used.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, phone number, email, delivery and billing address, and order history.
  • When you pay: our payment partner collects your card, UPI or bank details. We never see or store your full card number.
  • When you chat with us on WhatsApp or fill a form: your name, phone number, city, and what you tell us, which can include your health goals or symptoms (for example sleep, energy or digestion).
  • When you browse: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and similar data, through cookies and pixels.
  • When you write to customer care: your messages and any photos you send.

Health details you share are sensitive personal data under Indian law. We ask for your consent before we collect them, we use them only to answer you and suggest a product, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. You do not have to share them to buy.

Why we use it

  • To take, pack, deliver and support your order.
  • To answer questions and resolve complaints.
  • To send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To send offers and news, only if you agree. You can stop them any time.
  • To understand how our site is used and improve it.
  • To prevent fraud and meet legal, tax and accounting duties.

Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs to do its job:

  • Shopify (our online store)
  • GoKwik (checkout and payments; GoKwik's own privacy policy also applies to the details you enter at checkout)
  • Godamwale and its courier partners (packing and delivery)
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business messaging, and measuring our Facebook and Instagram ads)
  • Google (records in Google Sheets; Gemini, the AI that helps our WhatsApp assistant reply; and, through our Google & YouTube connection on Shopify, measurement of site visits and of our Google ads)
  • Government authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies and pixels

We use cookies to keep your cart, remember whether you picked Mornings or Nights, and count visits. Shopify and GoKwik measure how our store and checkout are used. Our store is connected to Google & YouTube, which lets Google measure visits and how our Google ads perform. Our store is also connected to Facebook & Instagram. When you view a product, add it to your cart, start checkout or buy, the Meta pixel and Shopify tell Meta, along with your email and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form. Meta uses this to measure our ads and to show them to people likely to want SILT. You can change this in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings. You can control ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. If we add other advertising tools, we will update this policy first. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the store may then stop working.

Where your data is stored

Some of our partners store data on servers outside India. We only use partners that protect it with reasonable security practices.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records: as long as tax and company law requires, currently up to eight years. Chats, enquiries and marketing data: until you ask us to delete them, or two years after your last contact with us, whichever is earlier.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal data we hold about you
  • correct or update it
  • delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it
  • stop using it for marketing, or withdraw a consent you gave
  • name someone to exercise these rights for you if you cannot

Children

Our products and site are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Security

We use the security built into Shopify and our partners, limit who can see your data, and protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-step login. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

We will post any change on this page with a new date.
